General information about the Deutschlandticket
The Deutschlandticket allows passengers to use all local transport (bus and regional rail services) throughout Germany for 49 euros per month.
You can buy the Deutschlandticket at any time, even during the current month. To purchase the ticket, you must take out a subscription, which is automatically renewed. However, it can be cancelled monthly. The Deutschlandticket as a subscription contract can also be purchased via the homepages/apps and online shops of the transport companies and transport associations.
Don't have a smartphone? No problem! In a few weeks' time, you will also be able to select the option to receive your Deutschlandticket as a chip card in our online shop.
The Deutschlandticket is valid nationwide on local public transport buses and trains.
The Deutschlandticket is not valid on long-distance transport and special means of transport such as:
- DB long-distance transport and Flixtrain
- Long-distance bus lines (like Flixbus)
- Special/leisure transport
The Deutschlandticket can only be purchased as a subscription and costs 49 euros per month. It is initially valid per calendar month. The subscription can be cancelled monthly. The cancellation must be made by the 10th of the month for the following month.
The Deutschlandticket is valid for the calendar month in which you purchase it. It is automatically extended by one month at a time unless it is cancelled by the 10th of the previous month. Cancellation is only possible in the online shop via the customer account, not by telephone or email/letter.
No, the ticket is personalised for the holder and is not transferable.
No, the Deutschlandticket is a subscription that can be taken out for anyone aged 6 and over at a price of 49 euros.
The Deutschlandticket is personalised. A photo ID or comparable personal document must be presented upon request. An order confirmation or screenshot of the ticket is not valid as authorisation to travel and will not be recognised as a valid ticket.
Subsequent personal presentation of the Deutschlandticket is possible at the fare office/administration of the transport company or transport association within one week. If the valid ticket is presented in good time, the increased fare will be reduced.

The ticket is issued as a mobile phone ticket via a "wallet link" - after ordering, you will receive an email with a link that you can use to load the ticket into your smartphone wallet and open it there at any time.

If you have your ticket on your smartphone, you must ensure that it works properly and that you can provide proof of a ticket at a ticket inspection. If you have lost your mobile phone or there is a transmission error, you are also obliged to buy a new ticket elsewhere.
Both cases are regarded as travelling without a valid ticket.
Questions about our online shop
You can switch to the new shop, which has the advantage that the ticket no longer has to be retrieved via the FahrPlaner app, but can be loaded directly into your wallet. However, you can also keep your subscription in the old shop until further notice, in which case you will continue to receive your D-Ticket via FahrPlaner.
All existing customers will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to switch to the new shop.
You can then load your ticket directly into their smartphone wallet, so the FahrPlaner app is no longer necessary.
The "Wallet" is an application on your smartphone in which all types of tickets can be stored. The ticket can be easily accessed via a link in an email and is then available at any time, even without an internet connection.
You can take out a new subscription at any time, both for the current month and for the next month. It may take 1-2 working days for your order to be checked and the ticket approved.

Existing subscriptions
We offer a supplementary ticket that includes all the benefits of your previous travelcard:
- One adult + max. 4 children up to 14 years on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
- Daily transport of dog and bicycle
The supplementary ticket is only valid in conjunction with the Deutschlandticket and in our transport area.
The supplementary ticket costs 10 euros per month and is available from the ticket staff and at our advance booking offices.
Monthly student tickets will continue to be available and our previous ticket offer will remain unchanged.
There are no changes to the annual school travelcards.
The Deutschlandticket is also available as a job ticket.
The Deutschlandticket is offered as a job ticket reduced by 5%, i.e. for 46.55 euros. The employer must undertake to pay at least 25% of the price (12.25 euros).

No. The Deutschlandticket is only valid in 2nd class on local transport.
No. The Deutschlandticket is only valid for one person. Children under the age of 6 continue to travel free of charge. If you want to take more people with you on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in the town and district of Celle, you can buy our supplementary ticket for 10 euros per month.
The subscription contract can be taken out for children aged 6 and over; children under 6 travel free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
The Deutschlandticket itself is not transferable and does not allow you to take your dog with you. If you wish to take a dog with you, you can purchase our supplementary ticket at a price of 10 euros per month.
We offer a supplementary ticket for the carriage of one adult and a maximum of 4 children up to and including the age of 14 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The supplementary ticket also includes the daily transport of one dog and one bicycle.

Season tickets will continue to be available. However, season ticket holders can take out a subscription for the Deutschlandticket at any time. From the winter semester 2024/25, the previous semester ticket will be issued as a Deutschlandticket at many universities; for more information, please contact your university.
The Deutschlandticket is also offered as a discounted job ticket, provided that the employer pays at least 25% of the ticket price. You can find out from your employer whether the job ticket is offered to you.
