Questions and answers about training

As a driver specialist, you are an "all-rounder" in the company. In addition to driving buses, you can also work in customer service, dispatch, the control centre or other areas, depending on your interests and skills.

During your training, you will swap your driver's uniform for overalls or office clothes, because in the workshop you will learn how to carry out maintenance and minor repairs, and in the office you will organise the vehicles, draw up duty rosters and advise customers.

Variety is guaranteed during your three-year training as a skilled driver.

Professional drivers (m/f/d) drive 100% buses, while skilled drivers drive 70% buses and 30% are engaged in office work.

In addition to a good secondary school leaving certificate, you should have these interests, qualities and skills:

  • You are punctual, reliable, conscientious and responsible
  • You enjoy dealing with people and are friendly and helpful
  • You enjoy working in a team
  • You are interested in technical contexts
  • You have basic knowledge of common IT systems

Good grades in German are an advantage for your work in the office.

  1. Year of training: € 1,015
  2. Year of training: € 1,065
  3. Year of training: € 1,115

If you have already completed an apprenticeship or are performing very well at vocational school and in the company, you can apply to shorten the training period.

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, all doors are open to you. If you wish, you will have the opportunity to gain further qualifications.

To inform passengers about fares and the route network and to communicate with your colleagues, it is important that you can understand, speak and read German well.
